Kirk Magleby – President, CEO of Nuvek LLC

Kirk is the founder and creator of Nuvek. Kirk has spent more than 25 years in the software market, designing several software packages. When it comes to system architecture and design, there are few that can match his knowledge and skill. 

W. Dennis Parker – Vice President of Marketing and Sales

Dennis has a long career in sales and sales management and is directly responsible to manage and improve sales in Education, ISSA related Manufacturing and Distribution, and the Automotive Industry.  Franchisors and Franchisees, Property Management, Government, and other Data Collection, Follow-Up, and Reporting needs and requirements are always of interest as VEKTR is the ideal fit for these purposes.

David West – Program Manager, VEKTR

David has been with Nuvek since 2005 and has played a key role in Customer Relations, Support, Implementation and software design. He is very passionate about customer satisfaction and will often bend over backwards to make the program work for you.

Dan Rigby – Director of Marketing and Sales 

Dan has been with Nuvek since 2005 and has played key roles in developing new markets, obtaining sustainability and providing training and support to new accounts on the VEKTR® program. Dan’s dedication to the company comes across to every account he works with.

Jorge Merino – Director of Product Development

 The early days of Jorge learning the Systems Engineering world are back in 1989, when he started to work for a big Good Year Tires regional distributor, he learned S/36 and AS/400 and got trained on the IBM Center at Mexico City. Later on he worked for Alumex as Project Leader, part of Grupo Carso, one of the biggest consortiums in Mexico better known as the owner of Telmex; Alumex manufactured Aluminum products. While he had full time jobs as Systems Engineer, he also was IBM Consultant and Developer for other companies as freelance and company owner. In 1997 he was invited to join to Rembold+Holzer (Now part of Agillisys group) as Technical Director where he participated in automotive Projects through Mexico and Europe. At end of 1999, when Jorge was about to create a company software he met Kirk Magleby and since January 1, 2000, his passion has been serving Nuvek and its customers. 

Jorge has been developing Business apps for large companies since 1989, that includes Administration suites (ERP), Manufacturing (MRP), Customer Relationships Management (CRM) and custom Software Systems; that makes him to well understand complex workflows of a company combining General Ledger, Financial Statements, Manufacturing, Point of Sales, etc; he also have regionalized and reengineered legacy products to adapt them to Mexico, Spain and the USA.

 Technically Jorge has lots of Experience developing software for the IBM Systemi, Linux and lately Windows platforms; he is very proficient in RPG ILE, PHP, .NET, using OOP, his passion is on the Web, however he also has developed Client-Server and Stand Alone applications.

 At Nuvek, Jorge established and manages the off-shore Team of Developers, as well as every fun software project on the Nuvek's plate, he also has established the development standards and the QA process. Management of Software Projects is his passion.

Jim Bunker – QA Enginer, Network Admin

Jim spends his time ensuring that the servers are functioning, backups are occurring daily and ensure that the hardware is up-to-date.   He also spends his time doing QA with Jesus and FIN support. 

Aaron Merino – Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP

Aaron has about 10 years of experience utilizing various programming languages.  His experience started back conducting research on mobile devices using the WAP technologies.  Afterwards, he was hired at the Universidad de las Americas in Puebla Mexico where his primary responsibilities were to design and develop the University's Virtual Store using Java Technologies.  Between his time at the University and working at Nuvek, he spent a great deal of time as a free lance developer, writing code in Jave and C#.

In 2006, Aaron joined the Nuvek team as a Business Logic Coordinator and Web Developer using PHP, MySQL, XML, HTML, Javascript and Webservices. 

Dasaev Cerqueda – Sharepoint Workflows

Dasaev has about 10 years of experience on the User Interface development using web languages such as ASP.Net, PHP, Java, (X)HTML, CSS and JavaScript; X-languages (XML, XSL, XSLT, XPATH), UI libraries (Telerik Controls, Dojo, YUI). He has been working for Nuvek for about 3 years as the Presentation Layer Coordinator and in Human Resources.  He has received training about the development languages on Mexico, Canada and the United States. Among his greatest achievements, he has given impulse to the web development using new technologies and Best Practices, and constant performance improvements using the latest programming techniques and the training of the people inside the development team. He has worked in several IT Departments in Mexico City such as "El Palacio de Hierro".

Juan Carlos Juarez - Sharepoint Excel Services, BI

 Juan Carlos has been a software developer for over 5 years. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Telmex in Puebla Mexico. After graduation, he worked as a software developer specializing in PHP and MYSQL environments. After starting at Nuvek in 2008, he has continued to enhance and expand his development skills to include Business Logic in the Microsoft environments and he has developed reporting services under SharePoint. He is currently proficient in the following programming languages: PHP, Python, C#, JavaScript, 00P paradigms, MVC methodology, MYSQL, and XML formats.

Salvador Velázquez - C#, SQLServer DB Admin

Salvador Velazquez de la Cruz,  has been a software developer for 15 years.  He studied Software Engineering, at the "Universidad Madero".  He has worked for the "Organizacion de Viajes Nacionales e Internaciones" (Mexico city), "E-Quallity" (Guadalajara) and "Nuvek" (Puebla offices) companies. Currently his primary focuse is on the SQL Server development.  His experience in this field spans 20 months, 15 months working for Nuvek and 5 months working on E-quallity. His knowledge also covers the .net technologies, automated unit testing, Personal Software Process and test driven methodologies.

América Enciso

Americo is the newest member of our development team. She graduated from the Universidad Madero in Puebla Mexico with a degree in Software Engineering. After graduation, she spend 6 months developing database applications on the MS SQL Server. Since then, she has been working for Nuvek as a database administrator, working on the MS SQL Server.

Primo Pais – C#, Windows, Windows Mobile

Primo has been working as a software developer in MS Visual Studio with C# and Visual Basic for windows and mobile applications.  He is proficient in , Visual Fox Pro Proficient, Web Objects with Java Client and WEB applications.  He has wrtten the VEKTR® Windows Mobile, Desktop applications.

Roberto Solis - Java Micro Edition, Blackberry

Roberto started his development career in 2003 year working at SARO Electrónica y Sistemas. He worked there for 6 years (2003-2009). He started developing many small projects in the Visual Basic language and ASP web pages. After his first year there, he started to develop projects to mobile devices in different platforms and languages, like Java language for the Palm, BlackBerry and Motorola iDEN platforms, or in Visual Basic .NET for Pocket PC devices.  After 2 years there, he was placed as the Project Leader of many projects and became in the Development Coordinator.

Jesús Linares - QA Assistant (Alpha 3 Tester).

Jesus is our QA (Alpha 3 Tester).  He has experience working with Selenium, Ant, Java and Testng.  His primary responsibility is to ensure that all software programs that have been written are working according to customer specs before authorizing the release to live sites.  He also spends his time developing redundant testing scripts to continue to ensure that the programs work as expected.

Carlos Aquino - Drupal-Joomla Developer

Carlos is our Drupal developer. As a Drupal developer, he spends his time customizing custom websites for our clients. He obtained his experience working with Joomla, a program similar in nature to Drupal. He has also worked for several companies programming in C#, PHP working with the MYSQL database. Carlos also spends some of his time working on small scale VEKTR® projects in particular, integrating the Google Maps application in VEKTR®.

Fernando Vázquez – Graphic Designer

Juan Fernando graduated with a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design. He has worked for several national and International companies. (Toyota, Nissan, Volaris, Banamex, Gatorade, Shering Plouge and Roche and now NUVEK). As a Graphic Designer, he has experience working in Flash, Dream Weaver, Photography, and Web Design. His primary responsibilities at Nuvek is to design our websites, pamphlets, brochures and banners
